There are places that, once you find them, make you wonder why you’d never come before. Anna is one of them. Water glinting between the rocks, paths that smell of wild nature, and a village that holds more surprises than it lets on. We’ve been here for many years, and we’re still surprised by the look on our guests’ faces when they head out for a wander around the area. “I wasn’t expecting this,” they tell us when they get back. And honestly, it makes sense. Anna and the Canal de Navarr\u00e9s are the kind of places that don’t shout about themselves \u2014 but once you discover them, you’re always left wanting more. Nature, culture, things to do, and water. Lots of water.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The water at Gorgo de la Escalera has that colour that looks like a postcard but is completely real. In summer it's worth getting there early to enjoy it in peace, but it's worth every minute. There's a palace in Anna. Seriously. Many visitors pass through the village without even knowing it's there, which is a shame \u2014 because it's well worth a visit. It's been telling the story of this corner of Valencia for centuries, and it still has plenty to say. Anna is a village made to be explored slowly, without a map and without rushing. Its streets have that human scale that's getting harder and harder to find.
